Terms

KiwiSurf is a surf forecast you can try for free. Read these before you rely on it.

Short version

The service

KiwiSurf sends a daily surf forecast for 10 spots around Lisbon and answers questions about it, through Telegram (WhatsApp later), the KiwiSurf iPhone app and kiwisurf.app. It is run by Viral Apps LLC (Wyoming, USA).

Free and paid

Trying KiwiSurf is free: the Telegram bot costs nothing. Paid plans start with a 7-day free trial, and you always see the price before you pay anything. App Store subscriptions are billed, renewed and cancelled through your Apple account; a plan bought on kiwisurf.app shows its own price, renewal and cancellation terms at checkout. Nothing is charged without your yes.

Forecasts are estimates

The numbers come from weather and wave models, corrected against buoys. Models and buoys can be wrong and the sea changes fast. The 1-10 rating and the kiwis are our opinion of surf quality for an average surfer. Before you go in, look at the water, the flags and the lifeguards' advice, and follow local rules.

Your safety

Kiwis are not a safety rating. Spots marked for advanced surfers have shallow reefs, rocks or strong currents. Never surf beyond your ability, never alone on a big day. In an emergency call 112. You surf at your own risk.

AI answers

Answers to free-text questions are written by an AI model from our forecast numbers. They can be wrong; the numbers in the 06:00 call and the graphics are the reference.

Fair use

Do not spam the bot, try to break it, or copy the forecast in bulk. We may limit or block accounts that do.

No warranty

We provide KiwiSurf as it is, without any guarantee that it is accurate, complete or always available. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss, damage or injury that comes from using it. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited by law.

Changes and ending

We may change or stop KiwiSurf at any time. If a paid plan you have changes in price, we tell you before it applies; if we stop a paid plan, you are not charged again.
